This memory tester has a range of test patterns to isolate hard to find memory errors. By default, accepts 30 pin SIMMs and SIPs (SIPPS - 30 pin simms with pins) as standard and DIL packge memory chips. Comes with two types of add-on adapters. The PS/2 adapter for 72 pin SIMMs, and the SOJ adapter, for surface mount 300 and 350 mil package SOJ (Small Outline J legged) memory chips. The ABI Ram Master Compact can determine the speed of the memory device automatically, by applying the test sequences with incremental timing. Determines the speed of memory between 30ns and 170ns. The rammaster compact can also determine the configuration of the memory (size, parity). The unit tests the following memory configurations:

Tester is no longer supported by manufacturer. Comes with DOA warranty. All buttons work positively. A 30 pin ejector tang is missing, however, this is very minor as the (simm can still be lifted out of test socket easily). Supplied with original operators manual.
